About Lechon Latin BBQ & Bar

Lechón Latin BBQ & Bar specializes in Latin-Inspired barbecue, particularly featuring Lechón , a traditional Latin American roasted pork with a crispy exterior dish. Still, there’s lots more to explore on our menu, with dishes blending together the cuisines from several places, including Cuba, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Peru. Locally owned and operated Lechón Latin BBQ story began in 2020 with a simple passion for barbecue and Latin flavors. Our mission is to combine the inspiration of our heritage and vintage techniques to create a menu in Raleigh NC that brings out high quality slow-smoked meats and the distinctive homemade flavors that comes across our entire cuisine.

If you are coming into town for a tournament at the WRAL Soccer Center, put Lechón Latin BBQ & Bar on your list! Don't let the mall location throw you off—you can enter directly from the outside, which is super convenient. The food here is incredible. We had the Cuban and the Tripleta sandwiches; both were packed with flavor and came in huge, generous portions! The tostones, rice, and beans tasted completely authentic and hit the spot. Service was super helpful and friendly, and they use a cool table-side phone ordering system that makes everything smooth and fast. 5 stars all around—we’ll definitely be back!

I travel for work - stumbled upon Lechon’s and it blew my socks off… beer freezing cold… Cuban sandwich absolutely fantastic - rice and bean premium combo amazing. This is exactly what I was looking for and the restaurant provided 10 fold. I wish I got the lemon pepper wings too - I knew they’d be good but was already full with my Cuban and rice/bean combo. Thank you for your hospitality; I will certainly be back - please excuse the 1/2 eaten meal haha I was starving Forgot to add - the pork in the Cuban is marinated for 48 hours and cooked for 24 daily - incredibly flavorful

Stopped in on a whim & will definitely be back! The food was absolutely delicious! We had the carne asada tacos which were so good & the Lechon con Cuero which was juicy, tender & fantastic! Also had the corn salad & rice with black beans. The sauces made already delicious food even better. The garlic sauce was our fav, followed closely by the Jose sauce. Service was also great, friendly, helpful & attentive. Didn’t think to take pics until we were almost done! Thanks for a great last minute lunch!

I’ll start off by saying that from the outside of the restaurant, it does look interesting and inviting. Once you step in, it’s honestly not all that. The atmosphere was fine but in pictures the restaurant does look more “fancier” we ordered meat plates and some sides. I had the “lechon” with crispy skin, rice and beans. You guys…this was NOT what I was hoping to get. We were so hungry and when we got our food, it was so disappointing. My meat was pretty oily, lacked flavor completely and the crispy skin wasn’t even crispy. & it was a very small piece of skin they just plopped in the bowl. It was super hard and not at all crispy, just hard. The rice was half overcooked with hard pieces here and there and the beans were decent. The lechon was basically flavorless pulled pork and for the amount we spent, it was definitely NOT WORHT IT.

The food was delicious. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection. The method of ordering and lack of table service is a miss. There is no signs of anything at the table to indicate that you need to place your order at the bar. We were the only ones in the restaurant tonight...with food like this, the owner should take a look at the customer experience. The food came out quickly, was hot and again, delicious. I watched a couple come into the restaurant and wait at a table, no one spoke to them or explained their way of ordering. They got up and left without ordering...
